Is it wrong of me to be ashamed of the guilt of my father. He was such a powerful man in his life. He was also a monster.
He did so well in terms of getting his b.s.c's, I never even got to the start point.
He was always abroad with work, I've never left the island.
He made $, I did not.
He was married four times, I have not (yet).
He got published, I have scraps of paper.
He lived well, I do not.

Out of all that I love of him, I am half of him.

He was a Monster, I am not.

Should I love his memory on fathers day.

I never knew my father, my mum never talked about him I remember her and my grandparents arguing about him one day when I was 8 years old, I lost her when I was 9 and they died when I was 16 and everything even his name is not known to me, the little family I have and my adoption parents know nothing, I've tried everything, I don't even know his name.

It is hard to know I have a dad I will never know..........

"Sanada"

Sanada I don't know what to say, we both have holes but it is so different.

All I can say is don't feel guilty what ever you decide to do.

Either way, what ever you decide is ok. Just by writing about your father you have acknowledged him and I think that is enough. Hold your head high and feel good about the rest of _your_ day.
My father is deceased. I loved him dearly, but father's day can hold it's own mix of emotions. This day used to be especially hard for me. Now they're just another day that I 'have' to remember...then go on with my day the best I can. I hope you have a GOOD day for yourself.
We can waste so much time worrying on what could/should of been.
Thanks for this!
