What is a mental health problem. People in my life say that we all have mental health problems. Others say we don't.

I still am trying to define my own issues. People who know me 'now' in life have gotten used to me, and my ways. They except me for what i am. Cool. Its nice to be seen as what i am cause i've never been ashamed of what i am. All i want is peace, love and equality for all. My friends (few that i have), recognise that in me.

Others have a different view. They say stop being what i am, stop being upset, pathetic, different and that i should be 'normal' (whatever that is).

Maybe the world is kinda 'waking up' finally. Thanks to the internet we can share what we are. What we go through and we get information that was once forbidden fruit hidden away inside asylums (or hidden inside our minds).

Mental health solving must be one of the most important subjects on earth at the moment. We must be able to go forward with the transformation of our planet. If not, we could doom ourself's. Surely to become a free, border less planet we must come together and accept our differences. Whatever they are. Mental health problems and all.

Thanks for reading this, i hope you see what i mean.

There is an arguement that there is no such thing as a mental health problem, it is just people trying to survive in the wrong environment.

Within different cultures different attributes are valued differently - so what is seen as abnormal in one soceity may be highly respected in another.

For me it is a personal thing - if some is experiencing a problem that is related to the mind rather than the body, then maybe that is enough to label it as a mental health problem.

To me, a mental health problem could be defined as something that is intrusive upon and interferes with one's daily life.

We all have quirks, we all are different and have different baggage, but when that baggage or those quirks impinge upon us, or others, in a profound and negative way, then I would call that a mental health problem.

Thanks for that, i needed to hear that view.

My own issues have never made a negative impact on others. My issues are inner problems of the mind, but they do not over spill into the outside world.
