WHY did I start?

I know that the majority of the people here understood what I was trying to help with when I started the "where do i start" thread and did the "pulse taking" kudos poll.

However, now the poll has been locked. and I've been treated as though I was asking for the kudos forum to be removed. Sometimes it helps if we really, really read a post before we react. reacting is very different from responding. i saw a lot of reacting. don't get me wrong, i thought someone might misinterpet it and i thought that my explanations and reassurances would clear things up. my PMs are only off to the people that i have on ignore. i would never, ever put a mod or admn on ignore.

for the last and only time i'm going to say this. there are people here who are ignored. ignored. ignored. ignored. i'd hate like hell to be a new poster here. unless i had such a dramatic story that people knocked each other down to get to it, i'd feel up the creek without the paddle.

i had absolutely nothing to gain, personally, except seeing people who need some attention get it. Merry Christmas, everyone.

I understood! (But I am concerned over the supposed 50-50 vote on it lol) I'm probably concerned because I sure wouldn't want a mental HEALTH site to be void of KUDOS...and since we have trouble maneuvering and finding all the threads I think I want to read ..etc etc etc.. how much more to read if the kudos were JUST all over the place

I agree also about the feelings I'd probably have here if I were a newbie just now.... sigh maybe it's a necessary evil of a growing site IDK But there are many members who are trying to welcome and help the new members get situated and welcomed (Of course, my trial by fire didn't stop me, and I'm sure it would happen again today if I were joining right now... lol some members never change! )

i don't WANT kudos to be changed, removed, moved or anything else that someone can come up with. i am ---------- sorry that i ever tried to do anything to change things here. i've defended PC over the charges of "nothing can be changed" since i've been here. well, look where that got me.

I completely agree with you on the poll and I understood that all you wanted to do was balance out the support that all members should have. I am here for you.

I wouldn't want kudos taken away. That would make it much worse. I too just think it should be fair. You did a good thing. It was a brave thing. And it was good.

Pat... I wasn't really involved with it, but I can see how you took it personally. However, I don't think it had ANYTHING to do with how your actions were perceived. I can understand how you're feeling, though. The intent of your posting was WONDERFUL. Your heart shines right through any misinterpretation there might have been about your opinion on a separate forum. Please, don't be upset... it really wasn't you, personally, IMO.

you're all lovely people and i'm not taking it as personally as it appears. i had fish to fry, to help people, and evidently the heat in the kitchen was too much.

I don't have any fish? In fact, I get to go out to dinner tonight so I'm a happy camper.

we have the most wonderful fish market here and they do take out dinners. they fry my fish.

I do like stuffed halibut, grilled salmon, salmon patties and lemon pepper trout. I'm sure hubby will want to go somewhere that isn't particularly good with fish.....he hates the stuff.

Salmon is SO healthy for us.... trout yum too. Ok.. what are we eating with our fish???

I'd like twice baked baked potatoes please and a stir fry veggie mix.

What convictions are being referred to? She began a poll to see what the sentiment was... IDK but I think I understand how some ppl feel left out here, and when they DON"T see their name in Kudos, they feel even worse, and maybe even a touch angry... it's an ongoing issue ... I think some of who are never recognized, do support others.. while yes, there are others who never hug anyone and still might feel upset for not receiving a kudo thread.
