Parker, you're one of the nicest people on this board, hands-down. Why would YOU not be welcome here????

I don't know but I am perimentapausal and had pms. I have watched and seen people reading their own things in here. Pat my sweet friend who would feed me cookies and tea if she could, is/was trying to be kind and loving to all here. The way we reacted was not altogether supportive. I get what she is saying and I am looking for the energy to welcome new folks. Already made a new friend. I assume, even now after all of my own crap that we each try our best. Let's try to assume that here? Pat was trying to spread the care. I get that andn she is right. Kudos or not does not matter, what does is that we all feel understood and cared for by at least one person here. Parker. I would love to hear from you. I got knocked out earlier too. Pl,ease everyone, remember who we are and what is in our hearts and take Pat's post as it is meant, share the comfort and the affection. It is so cool to feel someone here in cyberspace cares and "gets' you.

Since I am new, I am not familiar with the ongoing debate in relation to kudos. I think the kudos section is rather odd to me. However, I like the other forums very much. I felt very welcome when I first posted on Depression and later visited the self-esteem and psychotherapy sections. I suspect a great deal of us newer people felt very welcome when we joined. I think that is because a lot of the people here can understand and encourage other people in the forums. I like knowing that you are all here and willing to read my rants about my strange old and new ways of thinking. Thanks for having a good forum.

Pat, I've said before and I'll say it again. You did a good thing giving the rest of us a nudge about making the new people as well as the more quite ones welcome here. Personally, I needed that nudge!

To tell you the truth, I don't understand why anyone would take offense to that. WHY did I start?

Please stop beating yourself up! You know as well as I that you can't please all of the people all of the time. It's time to just relax and know that you did a good thing. You're not responsible for other's feelings or actions.

on a serious note, away from fish jokes, i want to thank everyone that understood what i was trying to do. i appreciate it very much and it helped tremendously when i was receiving the "gracious" PMs from those who thought i was trying to burn the house down.

to those who didn't get it, i have no answers that you would accept. i'm just so glad that a lot of people "got" it and perhaps by example, we'll make it clear that we're going to spread the love around. xoxox pat
