So I applied to 4 places for internships 2 couldn't help me out, I had 2 interviews. So far one has rejected me and the other one I'm pretty sure I won't get either...because a friend of mine is more qualified than me plus the fact that I was late and flustered because I locked my keys in my car. I feel like SUCH a failure, I NEED an internship to graduate... To top it all off I had a final that was horrible this morning. The first half was fine then the prof handed us 4 packets of powerpoint slides and another sheet to do... it was horribly hard and he never even covered the material and didn't notify us it would be on an exam. I have 2 more papers to write, actually 4 because I never finished one and I just got one back basically saying it was worse than a highschooler's. I still have one more final to study for as well. I didn't get it I didn't get it I didn't get it

Ugh, I'm so sorry about the internship thing. I know how important those are. I also know that these things have a way of working out, at least at my school. I hope yours is supportive and helpful. Much more helpful than that professor who is testing you on stuff you shouldn't be responsible for. And I'm sorry about the feedback on your paper. Can you get some help from the writing center at your school to make it easier to revise it? Or at least for the others?

Or if it's just bogus feedback, try to just let it flow off of you.

I'm sure I'd be feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, and "crispy" right now if all that happened to me.

Hang in there.

Oh, Spazz... I'm sorry about the interviews. You'll get a good internship; you're diligent and have good social skills. Those two are, IMO, the key to scoring well during interviews. I have a lot of faith in you, Spazz!

I remember botching up my first interview as a freelancer, age 26. I was already terrified because I had quit the stability of my full-time employment job, and then, long story short, I was late to the interview and completely flustered about it and babbled nervously the entire time. NOT like me at all. It was awful. I later called the project manager to apologize for being late (3rd mistake so far) and babbled incoherently into her voicemail... started stuttering, and then decided to cancel the voicemail and start again... only I couldn't figure out how to do that, so she got to hear me cursing and pressing every button on the phone in desperation before I hung up. Needless to say, I never heard from them again. Lol!

Spazzy, everyone has a bad semester sometimes. You know you're doing the best you can and that's all you can do! If you don't get the internship now, there's always the future. Do what you can today, trust that you did the best you could today, don't beat yourself up for things you can't change, and vow to maybe a bit more vigilent in lacking areas next semester. Above all, sigh a sigh of relief and take it easy over the winter break. You can't change what's already happened, so enjoy your holiday. =)

(((((((((((((((SpazKatt))))))))))))))))))))) I am so sorry that things seem to be overwhelming right now. You will get an internship. Use every resource you can. Maybe there are some places in your college that can assist you in obtaining your internship.

It sounds like you are doing your best on your exams. Try and let that be enough. It doesn't sound like the one professor was very fair in not letting you know that material may be on your final.

I am sorry that you got some negative feedback on your paper but try and use it as constructive criticism. You may consider to revise it to suit their liking.

Good luck on your last final and I am sure your papers will be great. Try not to get discouraged.
