i keep my money in an inside pocket of my coat. our coats all hang together. when i left, i decided to go eat...no $$. i thought "oH, you left it at home"..not believing that....it's not here. it was all i had til payday which is Dec 30! if someone needed some help, why didn't they just ask me? i still have two gifts, at Frameshop, to pay for. those gifts will be late. i feel really hurt that someone that i work with did it and i feel more hurt because i'm sure that i know who it was. p

I'm sorry to hear that Pat. It happened to me once too. It is an awful feeling to look around at your co-workers and think someone would do it to you. I also had a feeling I knew who did it and how he could look me in the eye was beyond me.

Oh, I agree with Petunia. It's an awful betrayal, and it really affects your sense of security at work.

You know..I had a thought....would someone like a janitor..have had access to the coats? I had a friend once who had $800.00 in her locker......the Christmas money was taken by someone in housekeeping. Just a thought.TGC

Okay , so if ya think ya know who did it just get them a candy bar or an apple hand it to them and say I was planning on getting you more but someone took money out of my coat the other day and smile sweetly

Great Goddess, that so sucks!
Hope you are telling everyone at work, they should put up a big sign about what happened, and take up a collection to replace the funds. And the person who stole the money needs to be fired, in my not so humble opinion.

Pat, I am sorry. I am afraid that all of the hype and commercialism this time of year breeds desperation. I know my own thoughts are sometimes not honest. I don't think I would act on them, just get sucked in by this culture of spend for junk junk junk.
It stinks, I hope whoever did it needed food or something. If it makes you feel any better, I am in the same boat. ) dollars and hubby payday 30th. We will survive. Peace to you. Please take care of yourself. |

it was three one hundred dollar bills...for bills.... today i announced in our work room that "if whomever took my money had come to me and told me your plight, i would have given you $100 even though i couldn't afford that, but that would have been easier on me than you taking all i had".......one guy never looked at me. he just kept working and every one else looked at me. i know that he lost his cellphone privileges for non payment of bill and voila! his phone is back on. i found $5.50 in quarters today. i am a very unhappy camper.

Sarah's suggestion was a good one. Pat - did the shop owner say anything to you, or apologize. I realize you won't get much help from your so-called "boss", but maybe the owner will help?

1. it isn't their policy to help out when an employee's $$ is stolen.
2. i took in a sack of candy and announced that there would have been more but someone had taken all of my money and "thank goodness, i had bought this prior to the theft"........one of the boys had to leave the room and i could hear him snorting outside the door. he caught it immediately! |
