I have been hearing a constant knocking these past few days and its driving me crazy. It's giving me a headache that ibuprofen won't get rid of, and i'm not too comfortable taking medication much stronger than that. I have had music playing almost non-stop that way I don't just hear the knocks. Any ideas as to how to get rid of the pain?

Why not give your doctor a call and explain what you are experiencing?

It's kind of complicated. I do very well at work. I can do that better than anything in my life. So, my doctor is helping me by keeping me off medication and overall avoiding a full blown diagnosis. He feels that anything else he could do for me includes strong medicine that risks everything. I would lose my job and be out of everything if any of this were to spill into my "work life".. I know it's unhealthy and very risky, but I'm just not sure if it's worth it anymore.

Have you ever looked into any kind of meditation?

Yes, I usually can't calm down enough to do anything like that though. When I sleep it's because I crash from being so exhausted. I could probably do a little more research though.
