these articles address many beneficial facts. i have had a number of false beliefs from my childhood. have worked on changing them. now i better understand why i still revert back to that way of thinking. my subconscious mind. but it also offers some positive findings too. for me understanding the science of something helps me change my responses/thinking. it's like getting to the root of the problem or using what is good.

The study of the nervous system of the brain and body – the field of neuroscience – is increasingly going mainstream.
More and more, what’s on the minds of an increasing number of people is … their own mind.
Among the most amazing discovery is plasticity, a remarkable capacity that allows the brain to generate new neurons all the time, according to neuroscientist Antonio Damasio, and to renew and to reorganize its basic structure of neurons indefinitely.
In this series of posts, we’ll consider 3 basic ways in which your brain regularly adapts to change. The more you get to know your brain, the more you understand the ability you have to inspire optimal behaviors in yourself and others, and to direct changes to limiting patterns. Believe it or not, you come fully equipped to wisely and effectively address the inherent challenges of life.
What types of changes does your brain adapt?
The brain adapts to three basic types of change. Essentially, it: (I) strengthens current behaviors; (II) expands or modifies existing behavior patterns; and (III) accommodates completely new behaviors

I was reading a book one time called the brain that changes itself by norman Doidge. It has about plasticity and how ppl change their mental illness or medical illness. Like one lady was having trouble with balance and kept falling down, then one day she started to get better and now she doesn't need the meds and all i unfortunately did not finish reading it but it was a good book and i intend to finish it some day (just like with how to kill a mocking bird lol books and me we like each other but it's a mood thing a lot ) but the brain that changes itself even had a chapter on bipolar and re designing the brain

I really like the idea of it all. On the cover it has
"the power of positive thinking finally gains scientific credibility.,,."

Very interesting and thanks for posting this madisgram. I saw a show on PBS about this subject and its encouraging to know ours brains can do this. Optimal nutrition, exercise and learning something stimulating and completely new can also create new connections.
