It doesn't look good. The CO2 levels are way too high and they haven't heard anything (tapping on the drill, for example). But there's always a chance.

One good thing personally, even though we haven't heard from The Hubby's dad, there are two pictures of him in the Yahoo! photos slide show of the disaster. We know he's fine and we're so proud. Little weird having The Hubby go through and name everyone in the pictures though.

Now, we wait and hope for a miracle.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts for the people enduring this ordeal.

Father-in-law is home resting now. He went to the office today as there wasn't much he could do at the site. He says it doesn't look good. I trust his judgement and frankly, he would know. Still praying for a miracle.

As if that wasn't enough, my cousin (on my mother's side) was rushed into emergency surgery this evening. Cancer in the groin area - he will be losing some lymph nodes too. We are hoping things turn out well.

They say bad things happen in threes...I wonder who/what is next.

AP is reporting one body has been found. Please pray

The also found an empty railcar. This is good because the men must have cleaned it out after - under their own power. There is still some hope!

I am SO SICK of seeing reporters asking family members asinine questions. How do you THINK these people feel!? Grrrr.... Please pray

Be with the family of the found miner.

*News : *Breaking News* Only One Miner Found Alive
Posted by sabraham on 2006/1/3 16:57:34 (52 reads)
NBC25 - Hours after being told that 12 miners were alive and only one man had died, news broke that the truth is only one miner was found alive in West Virginia.

Around 11:49 p.m. Tuesday night the news was that 12 miners were found alive in West Virginia. It was understood that only one man had died in the accident in the coal mine.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning it was discovered that only one miner was found alive in the collapse while everyone else had died.

The misinformation was apparently due to miscommunication. Mine officials knew this, but waited roughly three hours to alert the public of the news, letting families celebrate with thoughts of their loved ones being alive.

Officials said they wanted to have accurate information before it was released to the public that 12 out of the 13 miners had died.

The sole survivor, 27 year-old Randal McCloy, is in critical condition.

NBC25 will be tracking this story closely and will bring you the latest developments as they become available.
