Hello, nice to see you all. I am mostly better from the pneumonia. I have a lot of worries right now about finances. Many bills that can't be paid as I quit and have no income. I have my hearing with an administrative law judge weds at 9:00 and I can't imagine that I couldn't be able to collect unemployment since the doc and T told me on many occasions to leave the job as it was too stressfull. I am also awaiting a cash in check on my retirement which means I get hit with 30% off the top but I need the money to pay off debts so we can live while I am deciding where to go from here. I want to open my own business teaching fiber art to adults and children and traveling to schools and museums etc. It is something I enjoy and I want to see if I can make it work. It's difficult as I live in the country and have no studio space in town. I really want to do it and make it work. I think I am done with social work. I have considered specialized foster care for children with physical disabilities as well but I don't think I want to go there.

Every night I can't get to sleep. My mind starts to race.

So many bills that need to be paid by mid-week and fidelity gave me 2 different answers on when to expect the check.

I have not been doing anything with fiber for a little while. Probably as I have been ill and busy. My baby is 18 tomorrow a.m.! She will spend it at the OCD treatment facility and that is okay, she is taking advantage of the program all that she can. Her brother saw her yesterday and says she looks good.

Before she left the doc had started her on thyroid meds and she told me today that with the meds she is absolutely normal. She is still tired and has had blood pressure issues with it going too low. I question if she drinks enough. She fainted the other day. Wish they would do an MRI of her brain just in case.

So I have read everyone a bit and am sorry I am not up to replying to everyone but give me a few days and I will be back on track.

I am lying next to my sleeping spouse and we have 4 dogs on the bed spread around. They are all sleeping and each one has their own special place in my heart.

Thanks for all of the support through my trials lately. Guess I burned out and hit a wall. OUCH. Take care all.

((((((((((((((((WW))))))))))))))

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better.

You post struck me, in that, now that you have a clean slate, work wise, you talk of doing something that you love and enjoy, teaching fiber art to adults and children and traveling to schools and museums.

I do beleive, that things happen for a reason. Perhaps this is your time to do what YOU want to do. Open that business and really love what you do for a living. That is a dream that so many people have but very few attempt for fear of failure. Sometimes, we have to put ourself out there and take a chance. I think that this would be perfect for you. I know from reading your posts in the past that you were so stressed and unhappy in you job. I just think this is a wonderful opportunity for you and I say GO FOR IT!!!!!

As far as the bills go, I understand. This is a terrible time of year. With Christmas and all, the checkbook sure does take a good hit..

Glad to hear your daughter is doing well in treatment. Happy Birthday to her.

I am thinking of you and get your rest. Stay well.

Huggles,

Jen

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{WW}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Don't have much to spare right now but I have no problem wishing you well and suggesting you give your craft some serious consideration. You can start at home. No need to rush!

What a peaceful scene you describe with your dogs all on the bed with you. Reminds me of when we were living in a tent trailer and when nights got cold, we'd have "three dog nights." LOL Back then, it was NOT funny! Good memory now, though... Better

Take care of YOU.

ohhhh, thanks everyone. Tomi, the mini dachund that is supposed to be my son's keeps us very warm, he wriggles way down under the comers and his little body keeps us warm. The others sleep on the pillows or at the foot. They are great. The only problem is birthday boy who is 1 year old loves to lick my eyes to wake me when he thinks I need to get up and tend to him. It is relaxing.

Parker, I am taking it slowly. I really am just starting to do things and spend time up and about. Take care all.

(((((((((((((ww)))))))))))))) Happy to hear you're feeling better now.

if you have a letter from doc and therapist, you shouldn't have much problems getting unemployment. I also wonder if your former employer would write 'others' instead of quiting on your Record of Employment. With me, it was a bit easier cuz I had a shrink and lawyer team. I was on short-term disability and never went back - under recommendations from my shrink and lawyer.

I can understand that your financial situation is not that good, but if you go for your dreams (teaching fiber art, and selling the art *you've* made, that would help.

I know it's hard, but if you try to focus on the good things, like the work stress is gone, and your daughter is doing well, etc., you might get more energy and feel better. Play with your pets too. What's it called - pet therapy? Better

Take care of yourself. huggles
