I really need to do well this semester in university. I have a major problem with procrastination. I just want to try something to see if it will help me. I'm going to post my study goals for each day and then come back to post if I was successful or not.

Goals for Jan 10, 2006

Study molecular evolution for 1 hour
Study ecosystem ecology for 1 hour
Study animal physiology for 1.5 hour
Study environmental science for 1 hour

Wish me luck!

Thanks everyone for the encouragment. I urge anyone who has problems with procrastination to post their goals. I'll support you!

Today I studied molecular evolution for 1 hour exactly, then I started reading for ecosystem ecology and lost track of the time. It was for more than an hour. Unfortunately I haven't studied for the other two classes today. I still felt like I did a fair bit of studying today, so I'm happy with what I did. It's certainly more than I usually do, so that's a big plus in my books!

Tomorrow's goals:

Study Animal physiology for 1.5 hours
Study Ecosystem ecology for 1 hour
Study environmental science for 1 hour
Study molecular evolution for 30 mins

Congratulations on your great beginning! It's hard to maintain the discipline you need. Make it a habit! Don't let those missed hours slide too much, though, or they'll wind up being a whole day in a hurry.

I hope this works for you--I need to learn that sort of discipline!

I failed my goals horribly today because of my health scare.

I think I studied ecosystem ecology for about an hour. That was it. My study thread

I'm way too anxious to study.

I'm going to try to keep my mind off of my death and study Animal physiology for 1 hour.

Please pray for me. I don't want to die.

I ended up not studying animal physiology...why do I keep avoiding the more difficult subjects?

I did 6 questions out of 10 of this ecosystem ecology assignment. It took me about 2 and 1/2 hours.

Tomorrow I really have to study animal physiology for 2 hours!!
