I've always been a little different when it comes to having a bond with someone.
I don't know why, and i don't want it to be like this, but I've never actually 'loved' anyone in the typical sense of the word. I don't get close to people. They all seem so replaceable, even though I know they aren't. Am I alone in this?
I've never actually spoke to anyone about these feelings.

Hello, Brittany. There was a time I made it a point not to get close to people because I got tired of being hurt by them. Now it is now a conscious thing to keep people at a distance but the result is the same. My therapists have told me to take off my do not disturb face.

I've never found people to be replaceable. my greatest fear was that they were, in fact, irreplaceable.

You definately are not alone! There are many reasons I have learned over the years that can cause these feelings. For instance if you have DID or any form of DD, apparently another part of you, alter or just another part can hold emotions so you don't feel them. Apparently it's also common for some personality disorders to feel this way, for some psychosis and or schizophrenic people... Basically it's not uncommon at all, especially for those on this site! I have phases where I myself can feel no emotion. It made being pregnant rather difficult when I felt nothing, but thankfully I still had my head on straight so even though I didn't feel emotions I did what was nessesary to take care of the little one that was in my belly.
