Sometimes I remind me of the movie real window. Because I sit by the window and look out and wonder and watch people in my wheelchair. Wonder things about them. Am I weird?

I don't think people watching is "weird".... but then I think I am odd (lol) and even if I or you or all of us are odd- I remember this- Human Beings are odd to begin with wish you well and don't think you are so odd- I am sure there are odder things that people do than sitting and wondering about people.

If you're "odd" in wondering about people, then I'm "odd," too. In fact, I wondered so about people that I studied about their behavior and became a psychologist. I think it sounds like a healthy thing to do. People go to malls and sit and people watch!

I don't mind standing in the checkout queue as I wonder about the people ahead of me, look at what they are buying and wonder how that makes their lifestyle different to mine. I don't think it makes me odd. It passes the time when stores are busy anyhow.

I've heard people get excited discussing places they could go to "people watch". As long as you aren't invading their privacy, no worries. And keep your camera flash handy!

I spent a lot of time in college staring out the rear window of my apartment/room into the large courtyard onto which my and several other buildings gave. It was time well spent. You wouldn't believe the number of women who like to fuss with their curtains while entirely naked. This was, of course, very long ago. I'm sure no one would dream of doing that now.

Not at all. You are perfectly normal. I think you might be telling yourself that you'd like to get out more. Do you have a helper who can help you get dressed and, weather permitting, wheel you outside to take in some sunshine and to bring you closer to others?

I am a people watcher myself. Everytime I get on a NYC subway train or bus, I peruse all of the people on it. I like to see what others are wearing, where they have shopped and purchased, etc. And, of course, briefly check out the cute ones as discreetly as possible!!

I was a people watcher as a kid, and I'm sure that's what eventually led to my writing. I used to watch people on the playground, then the student union, Times Square, Piccadilly Circus ... eventually started running into people from my past as I people watched. They were people watching too!

I think, avoice, you may have hit on a truly universal "normal" thing everybody does. Wow.
