I just want to warn people that there is a virus going around through AIM (AOL Instant Messenger). Do NOT click on ANY links sent to you through AIM even if you KNOW the person! My "sister" sent me a link asking me to look at a picture of her. So of course I didn't suspect anything and opened it, BAD idea! It goes through your entire buddy list and passes the virus on to EVERYONE on your budy list. I spent last night and most of today trying to get it all cleaned up. If you suspect you have this virus or any other virus that is passed on through AIM I suggest downloading "AIMFix". It is free and updated frequently for the latest viruses that are passed on through AIM. Here is the address: http://www.jayloden.com/aimfix.htm
I hope this prevents or helps someone who thinks they have the virus the frustration and mess that I had to endure. |
