Hello everyone
 My nephew (Daniel - he is 8 and like a son to me) is going to the children's hospital (IWK- Halifax) tomorrow morning. They suspect he has Hodgkins disease and is having further tests and a biopsy done. I thought I was doing okay today and all of a sudden it has hit me like a ton of bricks. I am usually such the strong one and tonight I am feeling so helpless. If you could, please keep Daniel in your thoughts? I am a firm believer in positive thinking and am holding onto that now. Will put Daniel foremost inmy thoughts and prayers....along with you and your family. Its so hard when theyre young....2 of my Babies both had major surgeries when they were only 16 months old...my baby girl was in surgery for 15 hours and my son for 4.
Trust me I know they anxiety...helplessness...and sadness and fear that goes with it.It also has always amazed me how resilient children are.....I think the adults suffer longer trauma than seem the children do. They bounce back so well, its truly amazing. I am sure everything will go well....just let him know his Auntie wuvs him  (As I already knwo you do anyway) Just keep thinking positive because that IS something you can do.{{{{{heather}}}}} please let us know how it goes...and also how "you" are. |

You guys are amazing to me - thank you all. I am still waiting to hear something....they've been there since 10 am this morning and it is now 2 pm and still nothing yet . Hang in there kiddo, these things can take awhile. We both know that minutes can seem like hours when you're waiting for news about something. Thank you again everyone for all of your warm thoughts and prayers. Would you believe we are still waiting to hear back but Lisa (my sister in law- Daniel's Mom) told me this morning that the doctor's receptionist just called and the doctor is going to be calling them this afternoon. She wanted to be sure they are there so I am thinking positive and so is Lisa and Pat (my brother).
