Tomorrow, I will be moving me and my things out of this house. My things will be going to a storage unit, but the rest of me will be officially homeless. I thought I might be able to swing a small apartment, but they won't let me in due to bad credit. So, it's out on the streets or to one of the rescue missions. Obviously I won't be able to post much, but I'll get to a library or something to let you know what's going on. I'll miss you all, and I wish you well!

I don't have anything profound or insightful to say, but I wanted to let you know that I wish you the best of luck, and hope things turn around for you.

Davey, please stay safe.

Remember, if it is cold where you are, keep warm if you have to sleep out side. I too have had to sleep outside at points.

Newspaper lining inside your clothes will help keep you warm in a pinch. Try and find a corner out of the wind, and eat as much as possible whenever you can - your body needs it.

being homeless sucks and I hope that you can find a place to keep warm quickly

Welcome to the Club! I mean that well--you aren't the only one around here who is affordable-housing challenged. Besides the credit stuff to get into any housing! My stuff is in storage, too. Even storage is too expensive. There is good and bad to this lifestyle. You will learn a lot of things. It would be nice if they could teach empathy for the homeless in schools and for adults. Not everyone has something positive or respectful to say. Others can feel so bad about it that it's almost disprespectful even though you are the same person. Wish you (and all of us in this situation) well!

I just read your post...and I am so upset...and angry that this can and does go on in this country. What a national disgrace. This country just keeps going further down the tubes, I feel!

Davey..I am just so darn ANGRY. Try ALL of the churches. The local chapter of the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Maybe you will find sanctuary through one of them.

I feel ashamed of this country. Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless Officially Homeless

Actually my church is going to help some--I don't think I'll be on the street immediately. Most fols just say "Well, just go to the mission", there you go, probelem solved!

I'm really pissed, too, but more at my stupid illness than anything else. I really shouldn't be dealing with this. But when I spend half the time practically paralyzed with fear and doubt, that's just the way it goes!

You are a fine young man. I am hoping that you'll be ok. You are correct...you sure don't need this on top of everything else. SOME Kiiwanis (sp?) clubs give out special debit cards for food and such. Maybe you can inquire there as well!

I went out and bought a fresh supply of candles today..I will keep one lit for you. God bless and do try to keep in touch. (Thank goodness for library computers.) Officially Homeless

WOW!!! All you people are awesome...I've been really tense and scared today, but you all have made me feel better. I do not know what the next few days/weeks/months will bring, but it is so great to know that I have so many wonderful friends out there, and that I can count on you for support when I need it the most. But then, that's why we're all here, isn't it?

I just got home from a night meeting, Dave, and saw this post. As Rhapsody said, I know God is with you and with Him, all things are possible. I know some great prayer warriors who will pray for you as well.

What is that old saying "It's always darkest before the dawn."

Soooo glad libraries have computers!

Mega-hugs my friend!!!

Davey,

I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get to this post.

I am so sad about your situation. I just dont even know what to say. I am glad that the church will be helping you, at least for a little while. Someone above said something about renting a room from someone. Perhaps this is something you can look in to. There are tons of people looking for room mates. I hope that you are able to find something soon. Please PM me if there is anything I can do. Please do not hesitate to ask, whatever it is. OK?

Take good care of yourself Davey. I will be keeping you in my thought and sending good vibes your way.
