The MONSTER in the MIRROR has returned.... and I hate her (they way she looks) for she is FAT & UGLY and that equals= being unwanted and that can only equal= death, or at least the feeling of.

 )WW is right you know! You're looking at your depression when you look in the mirror. I've been looking at basically the same person lately. She's really UGLY & FAT!! So... I try not to look at the mirror. I look at what my friends here on PC tell me they see and it ain't half bad, ya know? LOLSounds like you need to go to a peaceful place, maybe be surrounded by Nature and take in all the beauty. Bring that beauty and peace into your mind and heart. If you can't get there physically, look at a "Beautiful Movie" in Social. Mental Pollution posted it. Get into it as much as you can. If you have to, watch it more than once. If that doesn't help, PM me.

Thanks.... and while I do believe you all when you say I am a beautiful person on the inside - I fail to see the beauty on the outside any more.... that which youth has the market on, and not that of an aging older woman with a post children body. BIG SIGH....  LoVe, Rhapsody - |

We have so much in common. I think much of the same thing when I look in the mirror.
I see a fat and ugly person who is no good. When other people look at me, they see a beautiful woman with many positive qualities both inside and out. That is what I see in you. Please ignore the monster that is trying to tear you down because you are truly a beautiful person.

Don't be so hard on yourself, try to understand that these feelings you are feeling at this moment is a moment it's self.....not the reality. I hope you feel better.......please be nice to yourself....you deserve a little sympathy through a rough time. Desirae

I would have been the first to reply to your thread, except, after composing a message, I was stopped with the 5 post to 24 hour rule. (I should have left it alone but had to mention it). I just wanted to say that I truly identify with what you are feeling. I am still in that place. I will offer that hug you need, if ok.

Thanks to all the wonderful people that took the time to care for ME - and I am listening and I do believe that I am beautiful on the inside.... now if I can just get past the wounds that leave me dwelling on the physical part of beauty - that if which I am slowly losing with age.
And I should know better than to feel the way I am, for I never judge another based on looks, and yet it is the past sexual abuse and past lusting wounds made by MEN that has made me a prisoner to my own inner thoughts - the wrong belief system that tries to control me.... Hey, you know, Rhapsody...the are a lot of guys who LIKE ladies in the full flower of womanhood...you would be surprised! Beauty and attractiveness come from within...NOT from the bathroom mirror!

Yes Davey I do know that and have experienced it from time to time (but THX for reminding me), but sadly enough my husband was not one of them in the past and it greatly wounded me..... he is presently trying to recover from sexual addiction (goes all the way back from to his teenage years) and he is learning to turn to me more for his emotional needs. We are trying.... and growing together.
