It would be nice if they could teach empathy for the homeless in schools and for adults.

I didn't want to hijack Davey's thread about this, but it would be great, Inky, if you could write something about what you'd want people to know about the homeless. I give presentations for a nonprofit here and I would be happy to work a segment on empathy for homeless into some of them.

I will think about this and what/how to say things. People have so much to learn. You can't necessarily tell a homeless person by how they look. There are so many ways to go with this. There is the before someone knows about the situation, and after. Also what figures in is if the person knew you before it happened or met you later. And how the person reacts to finding out. And more.

Thanks -- I'd be happy to pass along whatever you think would be useful for people to know...

Thanks again ((( Inky )))

You're not hijacking...you're trying to do something about it!

I was trying to say that I won't be around much for a while!

I think this is a wonderful idea. I was homeless at one time and people's reactions are amazing...

Hugs,

Jan
