Last night I laughted for 2 hours. but not for good reasons. I have never heard of this before. My PD said it was just as well crying. but I could not stop, it hurt soo bad, it still hurts today. I tried to explain it to some other people and they could not understand it was not a good thing, the laughing. It was so scarry to not be able to stop. It feaked out my hubby, he could tell I was trying to stop. We called an alert team and they new what it was and how to help. They had me get in a hot shower for about 20 min. I could not breath good and passed out couple times. DOC said treat it like a panic attack. Any one heard of this??

yep, i did that once and dr said it was a "hysterical reaction" (the words that used back in the day are wonderful aren't they? not).
yes, a form of panic, extremely high anxiety for me. I was a teen. i'm glad it's over for you. kd

It more confused me. I was a teen, so used to being treated what i perceived as badly
![]() It was typical phrasing back then for that stuff. i was more concentrating on how laughing could be a hysterical reaction and how people thought i was such a horrible person. i'd just witness an accident. it's scary and confusing, yes? i'm so glad it's passed for you. p.s. i've never done it again. kd
