Hi All,
It was a single-digit day here today. I was really fed-up with our 100-year old house today. The circuit breaker had to be reset twice, in order to toast the waffles this morning. Then I was all geared up to do some laundry (this is a rare event), and my husband reminded the water wasn't working. Arghhh! Hubby went to town, and bought a heater for the pump house, and about an hour later we had water again. I so much would like to move to a newer house, closer to civilization, but husband refuses. Hope the rest of you had a better day. EJ |

That sounds like a pain EJ. Water's very important!
It's gotten considerably cooler here too. I like the cold. Warm weather in the middle of Feb. in Ottawa just isn't natural in my opinion... It's been a really warm winter so far, snow melting everywhere. I like to feel my nose hairs freeze up. LOL

I know how you feel EJ. Over the last few days we have gotten about 18 inches of snow. Tonight the clouds cleared out and you can almost hear it getting colder outside...lol

It was freezing around here yesterday, too. I think the high was like 7 or something? The winchchill brought the temp down to more like way under zero. I heard -25 once, not sure about the rest of the day. I lived in an old house once where you couldn't more than a couple of things going at once or we'd be going to the circuit box. Happened a few times a week, at least.

I hope that you have a better day! I live in Vermont and can completly relate to the water thing, our water freezes a lot in the winter. Plus we are having breaker trouble too, but mine is with the hot water tank.. GRRR!! Its hard to like at the brighter side when every turn brings a new hardship.... But its almost March and soon there will be sun shinny days with warm toasty temps and then I can complain about the heat and the A/C !!! It never ends, LOLOLOL

Hi EJ,
I hope your water stays on. I visited a friend of mine yesterday and her water was frozen and her breakers were popping off. I hope you are able to take a nice hot bath soon. I can't get it warmer than 44 degrees in my bedroom. Thank God, literally for my electric blanket. Hugs, Jan

uh, sounds like a pain. I to have had my house troubles, and it can consume your day.
Sounds as though hubby seems comfortable in that old house. Maybe a compromise is needed. Like maybe some major repairs, a new house, or anywhere in the middle. I hope it all works out for you, and your day be a better one tomorrow, keep your head up Jane. Desirae
