Well at 8:16 pm my little cousin Elijah Dale was born. 8 lb 15 oz! I guessed 9 lb so I was very close.
Dana did a great job, I never realized her strength! She really did well, and had a worry free natural labor. I got to assist as well, it was truly a great moment, and I will never ever forget it. I was the dad temporarily, it was really cool. Besides the nurse making me sit down because I was starting to wobble....lol, everything went great. Unfortunitly my mom snaked her way there, she was high, and the first thing she asked was was the baby black. I got really pissed off because she should have asked how he was doing, and how Dana was doing before the baby's ethnicity. Then she asked my sister if she thought he was beautiful. I almost kicked her out, but she stayed a minute and left on her own, probably to the crack house. ANYWAY!! Not to ruin my moment, yeah everything was wonderful, I am sooooo proud of Dana and her accomplishments. Elijah is beautiful, and I can't wait to see him today! I was the first to hold him nananananan!.......lol. I told my sister that and she laughed at me....lol. Thanks for listening all.

WooooooooooHooooooooooooooo!!!! Congrats!! Congratulate you sis for me, too! That was no easy task! My oldest boy weighted 9 lbs 5 oz. I know!
The doc told me I could give him a quarter and send him home on the bus! LOL

Thanks for sharing the birth of your nephew, Elijah. Your Mom is something else. I had a friend, who was the first to hold her grandson, and he was more closely bonded to her than he was to his birth mom. Enjoy your new nephew!! Hugs, EJ |
