All,

Gosh yesterday, when I felt so grumpy about so many things (not like me), I didn't even stop to think about the grey, dreary skies as a possible contributor. But today, while it is still fairly cold, the sky is sunny, and I feel like a different person.

Hope many of you are having a good day too!!

EJ (Jane)

That's great EJ!

Let's hope the sun continues to shine.

Have you ever thought of getting a lightbox?

Hi Rhapsody -

I should be OK. We are in a warming trend. Also - Thursday - my teaching day, is supposed to be the warmest and nicest. Since the college is about an 1 1/2 away, my stress level is a lot lower when the weather is good. Actually, I've been lucky -- with the exception of this last week -- when ice was forecasted, Thursday's have been the nicest day of the week weather wise.

Hi EJ -

Oh wow! I'm so thankful to hear the sun is out! It's out here today, too, and like you said, it does help one feel more chipper. Hopefully you'll get some warmer temperatures to go along with it. Continuing to send you lots of good thoughts..... Thanks for telling us you have some sunshine!

Hugs,
ErinBear

Jane, I hope the sunshine makes it to Missouri tomorrow. It's still really cold and dreary here. Sunny Day

Light boxes are full spectrum high intensity lights that simulate the Sun. People with seasonal affective disorder (SAD) get depressed during the fall and winter because of the shortened days and reduced sunlight exposure. The can use a lightbox to help alleviate their depressive symptoms

Some think that light boxes may also improve the mood of people who don't have SAD, as well as improve sleep.

The opposite is true for me here in Arizona. It's sunny ALL the time! So days like today where it was overcast and chilly were a nice change. I think it's like 115 days without rain now, something like that. The sunny dry weather depresses me. I think a lot of it is anything in excesss, know what I mean?
