My son asked for chips (french fries), so I washed the potato, peeled, sliced it and put the oil in a pot on the stove. And only remembered when the pot was almost on fire! No chips.
Apologized profusely to son - gave him some chocolate instead. Decided to do some (more) laundry. I opened the draw (I thought for the first time) of my washing machine, where I put the soap powder in and found that I had put a spoon of instant coffee in ... apparantly moments before. I just found a roll of toilet paper - packed in amongst my pasta and rice. It is too early to be drunk(ish) so I can't even use that as an excuse. Pass the dunce cap over here please.

AND.... btw - i think that is were my CHOCOLATE went - - i want it back i need it back - NOW!!!! (rofl)

 Ok - that's from me to you - but for you and you alone (umm except that I had a bite or 3) .....................  Pie is pie (I think) and I don't know the Geico commercial. Us South African's have a way of being a bit 'behind the times'

No problem.... the Lizard in the Gieco commercial talks about free Pie & Chips and my family and I have always wondered what type of food that really was - the lizard if from England (i think) by his accent.

You sound so much like me! I went to the store about 2 weeks ago and was putting stuff away. Well, instead of putting the garbage bags in the drawer, I put them in the fridge!

Garbage bags will never smell once refrigerated. (Don't tell anyone they are empty)!

Well that will keep the roaches away. Paper bags from the grocery stores attract roaches. putting them in the refridgerator will help ------ always think of the positive.

I think I've put milk in the cupboard instead of the fridge, and let butter stay out way too long in a warm climate. I'm forever losing things (I swear they get up in the night and hide from me).
Oh, and when I was in Ireland I had fish & chips with salt & vinegar...ummmm so good!!

I thought Geico gecko's accent is Australian!
STILL don't know what Pie and Chips is, though... besides South African soul food...
