IN my heart of hearts, i've been wishing that i had a horse to ride on the ranch refuge.
i've been given a red sorrel gelding that is gentle beyond belief. tack, feed and all. there is a beautiful corral right by the ranchhouse where he will hang out and eat. he'll be the only horse there and i hope the donkeys will be nice to him. i may get him a goat for a companion. we're going to pick up the tack on Wednesday and move him. the other horses that were there are moving to a training facility in stillwater, oklahoma. to say that i am stunned is a huge understatement. i've truly come full circle. and if one of those damned camels comes up to me, while i'm riding, i'll freak. i'm hoping that a horse can out run a camel...in a pasture. i worry in sand..but surely in a pasture! i want a horse cyber baby shower!! please post our gifts!! xoxox pat |

Wow a horse of your own. How cool. Let's see how about a truckload of hay and a drum full of oats. We don't want him hungry now. Have fun. I hope he can outrun camels too. Enjoy!

OMG!!!! i am dying laughing!!! i love it!!! he is going to be so handsome in a mother of pearl bridle and a beautiful warm blanket and people will be so jealous of my ring!!! and all the goodies!!! wow! and time0, he's going to love to have a really personal gift of a sweet person.
he's pretty big, so someone may have to locate a ladder online and send that. i'm only 5'. i used to position my horse (i was a kid!!!!) with his head downhill and i would run and jump up on him over his butt! can you imagine me trying that now?????? hahahahaha. i also rode him, in a canter, standing up......I PROMISE! I WON'T TRY THAT! colleen is beside herself and wants to get on him immediately. i told her that i didn't want her to until we've totally checked him out. that is the difference in 37 and 62~~ i know he's gentle, but he needs to get to know us and bond with us first. 30 years ago i would have jumped on him and turned him flat out loose. boy, have i changed!  i want more cyber gifts!  LMo, you're the cyberqueen, it better be good!

my moms horse loves those apple and caroot treats.. he always knows that we carry them in our front pocket... so he will nuzzle our pocket..
so i will give you a big bag of them to treat your horse with....

shirley!! how utterly cool!!!!! i've seen horses, on t.v., play with old barrels and such. what a good idea!
and carrot and apple treats!!! what a spoiled horse! soon, i'll start a contest to name him. i'm deciding what the prizes will be. they will be real and will be mailed to the winners (if winners want them)...i'm going to make them very unique and you know how slow nuts are!!!  but count on them to be funny!!!
