Hey all ... finally got a good long sleep last night and am significantly less grumpy Apologies for grumpiness

I have been a bit snappy over the past few weeks so anyone I have offended - I'm sorry.

After I got back from Malaysia work went crazy and I don't seem to be dealing with 13 and 14 hour days very well ... plus weekends interrupted with more work.

I know it's not a great excuse but its all I have to say really. there's a lot of projects and not enough of us and not a lot I can do about the workload. I love it but writing reports and presentations then interviewing people and finally either running a focus group or watching one while schmoozing the client ... kinda takes it out of you when you aren't feeling that great to begin with.

last night my client decided to give people in the group a taste test of a new product (spiced rum ...) so didn't get home till 10.30pm ... so i just have NOT GONE TO WORK yet today!!! And it's 10am now. ive been working from my bed instead
Apologies for grumpiness

Anyway thazz all i wanted to say ... i will try not to be short with anyone in future.

x

I can't do much about the workload atm ... thanks for the nice words. it's funny how the things that keep you sane (for me its the distraction of work) also drive you ever so slightly mad.

I love my job, I really do, but sometimes i wish there was more breathing space!! Or a 25 hour day would be perfect ...

On the plus side, in amusing incidents, there was a kleptomaniac type last night who pocketed a gluestick and scissors from the stationary pile in the focus group room ... the clients and i watched from the other side of the two way mirror in disbelief ... it was so funny (i'm not being mean it was just the bizarrest thing to do in that situation!!)

And the rum was great - go Captain Morgan Apologies for grumpiness

You seem to be handling the pressure fairly well, despite the stress. Keep up the good work and don't forget to try and take a little time out for yourself.
