been married 23 years wife has lost interest in sex, cuddling, foreplay etc...is this normal?

It does happen at times for a range of reasons.. Have you spoken to her about it? That is probably the best way to try and find out what is going on.

There are all sorts of possibilities as to why this is occurring and what it means. I would recommend trying to talk with her about how she is feeling. Hopefully, you will be able to discuss and work through the problem/s together. If your wife isn't very receptive to talking with you ~ then I would look into seeking a couple's counselor.

How old is your wife? Is it possible she's going thru an early menopause? Some women do, you know. And the sex drive takes a real dump then. Perhaps she needs to see her doctor. Her hormones may be all messed up.

I'd recommend your wife have a complete physical, including a blood workup. Leed's right it could be menopause, and lots of women's sex drives tank from that, what with hormones going out of whack.
