One of our members, SleepsWithButterFlies, is in dire need of your help and assistance. After hearing her story, I believe she is a good recipient for our community's financial assistance fund, which is setup on an as-needed basis to help members in need.
Based upon book proceeds and my own contributions, I will kick off the fund with $300.00 from Psych Central. If you would like to make a donation, you can do so one of two ways: 1. Through Paypal to the address: donations@psychcentral.com (Psych Central will pay for all Paypal fees for your amount.) When choosing PayPal as a method, choose "Service" as type of product/good, and enter in: Sleeps Fund in the subject line. 2. A check made out to me personally and sent via mail to: John Grohol PO Box 5464 Bradford MA 01835 Funds will be collected until April 21, 2006 and sent to her immediately thereafter. I am sooo sorry but i am in no position to donate at the moment. Instead I would like to send all my best wishes and thoughts to Sleeps, and I hope that things can sort themselves out and get better

Yes, please feel free to use this thread to send out your best wishes to Sleeps, too, because I understand that not everybody is in a position where they can donate money to another person. Your best wishes and prayers are great alternatives!
Also keep in mind that even a few dollars here and there helps out in a situation like this. $5 or $10 x many members = a nice amount. Thanks again, DocJohn

what happen to Sleepswithbutterflies ? I hope shes alright. I wish I can give her as much as she needs but right now I am not in the position of donating money.
I do wish her the best of luck to the problem that shes having. Is it possible to tell her story?

I have now tried 5 X to send money thru paypal...it isn't working for me.
I add my Credit Card info but it keeps saying my sending limit on paypal is $0 until I add a cc. Help...

I am wondering what the best thing for me to do is ... does PayPal work on an overseas Visa card? Otherwise I will just send to to SWB privately.

I finally got paypal to work. Maybe it was down earlier or maybe I just wasn't doing something right.
Drunk...a Visa/MC is the same no matter where located. You have to register on paypal but once I got it to work it took like 2 minutes to complete the transaction. PM me if you need help.

I am going to post this here in case people do not see my reference to it or my link TO Kudos and it gives me another chance to thank....everyone
QUOTING MYSELF..... I have been sitting here kinda speechless...typeless? for almost 24 hours since the fund went up..I am so beyond touched by the outpouring of TRUE human compassion...I feel blessed and at the same time a kind of mixed feeling because I know there are many in here in need too...and then I know there are people like me..who would love to help but cannot finacially and I pray for those of you who can't that YOU KNOW ...that I KNOW and am in the same spot ...thus your well wishes and prayers and PMs mean much more to me than you may know..they carry no less value than the cash fund....in fact I think I place the highest value on the true desire to help and a prayer with feeling said. ***I have medical issues I will/do not post on*** and prayers and love are needed there money cannot buy health...so please don't`feel bad if you cannot help with the fund in THAT way...HUGS TO ALL.....I FEEL EXPONENTIALLY BLESSED

I too am not in a position where I can afford to send any $, but I want you to know that my prayers & best wishes are with you. I know how horrible it is to be in that state.....rather close right now too.....expecially after all the tax money they take from money I don't have either. I know that my anxiety attacks over this situation are horrible & may be feeling the same hopeless feelings too. I hope that everything works out for you & am glad that there is financial help here. I am sorry that I can't help financially, but I am sending you my prayers. Debbie
