I can see things, but when my emotion takes over, I cannot see things.
I mean exactly by that. Someone told me to find something, and I couldn't find it for 30 min. He comes in later and finds it in 3 seconds. In workplaces this is serious. I just make extreme assumption that something does not exist, if I can't find it quick enough or I'm too anxious. Anyone know what kind of problem is this? This is why I COULDN't do grocery filler part time job. It was just too hard for me because I'm like a sightful blind man. I don't know how my perception is so primitive. |

Hi ~ I've had that happen too. If I get TOO anxious, something can be RIGHT in front of me, but I just cannot see it. My daughter or granddaughter will find it immediately, and I feel like such a fool.
![]() For me, I just have to try to calm myself. To talk myself "back to earth." When I'm anxious or overwhelmed, I try to say "Whats the worst thing that could happen?" Or I just breathe very deeply for a few minutes while standing still, and FOCUS. This will usually get me back to "normal" whatever that is. LOL Usually I can calm myself enough to find what I'm looking for, but not always. LOL Anxiety can be an awful thing. I'm not on medication for it now, but I used to me. Perhaps you need medication for it. Have you talked to your doctor about it? It's possible you need something to help you with it. I imagine that's what's the cause of all this. Some therapy could help you too, along with some medication. Why not talk with your doctor and see what he says? Believe me, he WON'T think you're crazy. People have problems with this type of thing frequently. So have a talk with him, ok? God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee |
