My inner child is alive and waiting to be healed.

Taken from the book: Affirmations for the Inner Child
by Rokelle Lerner

How do I discover my inner child? My capacity to feel joy, to be spontaneous and take risks are qualities that I was born with. These qualities have not died. They are buried alive under years of defenses and survival behaviors. My sincere desire and firm decision to unlock my inner child from despair is what will set me free.

The spirit of my inner child must be exercised or she/he will wither away. I can no longer experience the wonder and glory of life by talking or reading about it. I cannot look in the warm glow of someone else's inner child or live through someone else's joy. I must live it myself.

I do not have to wonder where my inner child is. She/he is inside of me waiting to show her/himself waiting to heal. Today I will put my courage to work.

Buried Alive
Wise men still seek Him.
