I don't know what I'm gonna do. My pdoc is almost never around and not able to be reached when she is out of the office, she's only in three days a week if she's in town and I need help. Ive been having anxiety attacks since Monday, ten of them now, and my depression is getting worse. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions on how to find a new pdoc or some support would be great thank you in advance.

I would call her office and tell THEM I need a referral to SOMEONE ELSE because she is never in and you need better care than this, so please refer me to someone else. They should be able to give you the name of a good therapist. And the should be able to understand too, cause if she's never in the office, you dont' get CARE!!! That's what I would do, and you'd take your file with you too. Tell them you don't have TIME to see her again, if they tell you they WANT you to - tell them you need care NOW.
If they won't refer you, I would report them to the medical board due to several issues -- #1, Dr. is never there; #2, staff won't refer you. #3 iinadequate care #4 need emergency care & no one available If you can think of more, go for it. But they SHOULD refer you. Just ask them nicely for a referral and you should get it. Best of luck and God bless. Hugs, Lee ![]()

I was having similar issues with my last pdoc. He was in the office 4 hours a week, when he was even in the country.
Just last week I saw a new pdoc who seems awesome. Ask if there is anyone else in pdoc's office (if it's a group practice) that you could see instead, and specifically tell them you need someone who is in the office more frequently. If they can't refer you to someone, if you have insurance, check what providers they cover and try a new one |
