My unemployment stops next week. I am applying for benefits as I have yet to find a job though to be honest I didn't feel as though I could do a job until now. I want to get back into children's issues though I have worked with older and disabled people for a chunk of my life I have also been a foster parent and am well versed in developmental issues. There is a job I want which is early intervention Specialist for a local Parent Child Center. If I learned anything from my old job it is that there isn't anything I can't do. I have indeed done it all. I am hoping we are eligible for benefits as I can't pay daughter's health insurance this month, it is about 460 a month. She needs treatment for her OCD and the rest of us have no insurance.

It's a hard step. I also spoke with my old director today and found she had never received a cordial email I had sent her in March. I left without any notice and vanished after an impassioned, faxed letter of resignation. The email was a friendly "let's remember the last 18 years of the best and the best has been more then the worst so can we hold eachother in mind with the best?" She was glad to hear from me and did indeed agree that we had more good then bad.

I was more burned out then I thought possible.

So this is a new page for me and I am frightened. Wish me well.

Candy, you are the expert on new beginnings. Thanks for the encouragement.

Ray, thanks for the compliment. You know what? I do feel there is nothing I can't do. I have learned to do many things due to need so getting a job I like should be possible.
