Sorry if the title mislead you. I do not have the answers to reality. This thread is about my views of reality and hoping that someone might share insight or at least share their thoughts.
I will try to keep this short but also concise. If anyone needs clarification, I will be happy to edit or reply. I have multiple views of reality which are keeping me from living life to the fullest. I want to help the world be better for everyone, do my share, make peace etc. But my views of life are hindering me from moving forward. I've looked at the scientific beliefs and religious/spiritual beliefs. I was hoping to find the meaning/purpose/reason to life but never been satisfied with the answers I found so far. I don't know if a list is easier to read or I should write my views of life in paragraph form. These are in no particular order. These views are kept short for internet reading but I do infact have enough belief to write a chapter on each. My first view of life is that similar to a simulation, something like the movie The Matrix. A world inside another world. A computer simulation. My second view of life is that there is a God but once he created the universe that was the end of his support. Similar to Microsoft and the different versions of Windows. My third view is that God created this universe and this universe is a test for your soul to continue onwards or not. My fourth view is that I have died in a car accident and there is a choice for heaven/hell in the way you live through karma. My fifth view is that I have died and this is hell. My sixth view is that aliens are controlling the world/me. My seventh view is that aliens created me, I am alone, in a simulation of sorts. Similar to a mouse in an experiment. My eighth view is that aliens created us all, again in a simulation or sorts My ninth view is that we are God experiencing himself. My tenth view is that I am God. My eleventh view is we create the universe as we think. Our thoughts collectively construct the depths of everything. As the original astronomers gaze into the night sky, they create what he sees. As the first scientists gaze at the smashing of sub-atomic particles, they create what they find. My twelfth view is we have more than one reality. Multiple realities. This one breaks into a few different views but it easy to keep it simple with just the idea of multiple realities. Different living beings on different levels or frequencies. That sort of thing. My thirteenth view is there is no exact meaning to life other than chance. A roll of the dice. I am open to the idea that I might be crazy or infected, I might be ill. With this idea, it means I am treatable and can move on with my life. If I could simply pick a reality to live in I could move on with my life. |

i like your views... thanks for sharing them.
i'm interested in hearing more about- thinking that we have more than 1 reality. do explain? as for the others... hmm, not so sure on the simulation idea. someone once told me, this is all you get.. their are no practice runs- this is your life.. so unlike a simulator, if you go wrong, you have to deal with what other punnishments or events that happen because of that choice. with a simulator, you can easily rewind and go back. 1 of your views is... i am god i agree somewhat. we're in charge of our own life- so in theory, we can all be our own master (or mistress) obviously depending on gender- so i do like that thought. i also like.. this universe has been sent to test us- who will survive, who will not... survival of the fittist, if you like. i guess it goes with my views that their's life after death, but only for people that deserve it.. if you don't live this life in full, then you don't get the afterlife- i don't really believe in heaven and hell. actually forgot the rest of the message so will go back and read it and post another reply (if their is stuff i didon't touch on) |

this is the part i wanted to reply to:
My fifth view is that I have died and this is hell. my view on this is that i believe i was never really living... or maybe i am living, but it's all just a bad dream- when we die, we wake up |

Premises 11 & 12 are seen by some as related. From both a scientific and a philosophical perspective, I'm drawn to those ... You might find this link of interest: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/ci...ltiverse04.htm

ManicD,
Welcome to PC, in all honesty I think that much on your list is what many people ponder, including scientists. How can you pick the right reality when we do not exactly know that yet. Perhaps it is best to have an open mind and allow yourself to just learn what "is" known so far. You just have a mind that asks questions thats all, we all ask questions and then seek answers and that is basically how we continue to "gain knowledge" as human beings. Children begin to ask "why" around age three and as human beings we ask that all our lives. Open Eyes |

shattered sanity - I too hope and feel that we will all wake up.
The link that Roadie gave does explain a little more about about the multiple realities and some ideas I've learned about. I don't spend much time thinking about this view as much as the others because it requires a lot of energy and thinking to figure it out. So I generally give up on it quickly. But the multiple realities is based off of quantum-mechanics and the theories behind sub-atomic particles. It's all scientific stuff that I gave up on quickly for lack of understanding. Although, here is another view that I put under multiple realities. This idea is that we evolve as spiritual beings. This life is one step of our journey. We need to become enlightened to move to the next level. Kind of like a game. If we fail at this life, we start another life at this same level or a level down. Or if we become enlightened we move on to the next level of the game. Another interesting book is called Seth Speaks. It too is another view of reality. Some of you have heard of it, some haven't. I have a copy in pdf if anyone wants it or you can find it though a little searching online. It's been said to open a new world for people and it did help me a little but I didn't fully understand it. lightbulb7 and Open Eyes - I'm on the same page with you both. Since I don't know for sure what reality is, I have to at least take into account that this might be our only chance at life. That everything is very real. So I do my best to do what is right. We are all in this together. I once heard to think of earth as a spaceship taking us all on a journey home. |

I think we can wake up when we are alive, maybe we do sort of go through life sleeping, but we can wake up too?

I woke up a few years ago but I realized soon that I am only awake inside the dream. I want to wake up from this dream. That is my key issue. I have been looking for the reason for this dream, a way out, or a way to make this dream better for the people in it. But I have no reason to live out this dream for myself anymore.
