Anyone know how to recover lost memories? just about everything before late Middle School is a complete blank and I'm only 19. I've been told that up until now I was a very social, faithful person and then suddenly I started acting cynical and angry and destructive. I don't remember being that other person and was wondering how someone would go about remembering these things so I could find out what it was like to be how I used to be?

How does anyone know who you were inside? Children sometimes wear the mask that was shoved on their face. I just know the method that was used with me caused more damage. I hope someone has a suggestion for you. I think some things it's good not to remember.

A lot of my life was always stuffed down deeply. I've been told by some people that it may be hereditary (my dad doesn't remember a lot of his childhood either). I have had triggers throughout my adulthood that bring back horrible memories from my youth, but I don't remember many positives.
Maybe I've focused on the negative (I am a half-empty kind of gal) and that's why the rest of my life is a big blank. Or, maybe deeper pain is below. I'll go with the first possibility! Best wishes to you....
