i posted this in the bipolar forum.. but it can also go here- because it's not just about bipolar:

shlump gave me this suggestion for a thread, so i just reworded her message..

let's say you woke up tomorrow, mental illness free, no physical pain stopping you from doing things, in a normal average mood, what would be the first thing you do?. where would you like to be

for me.. i would choose to fly to australia, and take in the sights.

always wanted to do that..

i've an extention to this thread (like a question air) but let's see how this goes first

I would go eat a really yummy piece of cake.

That sounds dumb but I've always wanted to eat a really delicious piece of cake without freaking out about it before/during/after.

I just want to eat the stupid thing and move on with my life!

I'd hire a car and drive to Devon, buy a caravan and spend a month visiting friends and enjoying the scenery down there.
oh the freedom of driving, the freedom to walk over the cliffs and down to the sea and oh the feeling of the sea round your feet, the fresh air, the friends, the whole atmosphere, I miss it more than you can imagine.
Thanks for this!

I'd go back to work. I'm so tired of living like a slug. I'm a chronic painer besides having clinical depression, and I'd love to go back to work like "normal" people (if there is any such thing ) . I'd love to "earn" my wages instead of being on disability. Yes, I know I paid into the system and it's "my" money, but still -- I'd feel more worthy if I was working.

So that's what I'd do. I might be nuts, but there it is.

Hmmmmm Tomorrow.....pain free. If I were to live out a dream....I would sail around the world. If I were to think more realistically....I would go mountain climbing. Although....I really do like the idea of going to Ireland to meet a real leprechaun.

Would I also be loaded with do-rey-mi? Or would I be the same barely-scraping by person just in better health?

If I'm still poor, but now a remarkable physically and mentally healthy person, I would bike to work.

If I had money, I'd pack up my pets and I'd relocate to Hawaii.
