My grandfather used to be a carpenter and he made all kinds of stuff including tables, chairs and grandfather clocks. He made a clock for all his children and for my grand mother. Anyway, that is just introduction. So, he died years ago after being admitted to hospital because of heart failure. He died at exactly 15.35 PM and the clock, which he had made for my grand mother, stopped at exact time 15.35 PM. We didn't rewind or started the clock for a whole year as a wish from my grandmother.

How could this happen? It's just a coincidence, right?

In my opinion, it's not a coincidence. I am a firm believer that when a person passes, they aren't gone, they're just on the next step of their journey. Sometimes they communicate with us, in different ways, to let us know they are still with us, and always will be.

Probably a coincidence. How long ago was the clock made? To me, the older the clock is the less strange it seems. However that's not to say I think it's plausible your grandfather is communicating through a clock if the clock was made more recently, there are many other factors.

I've heard this kind of thing before, about clocks and watches stopping at spooky times. I've always held a numbers 'thing', and there was always one particular time, (number set) that I'd glance at the clock, at a happy or sad moment, not knowing what time it was, but hey it was ALWAYS that time, either a.m. Or p.m. Initially freaked me out, but then , I got used to it. I didn't look for it, and even set different clocks in my house at different times, like 5 mins fast. Yet I'd wake up, or something good might happen in a day, and glance at the clock. Always them same numbers.
Some would argue that I just looked for coincidences, I didn't. As I said, initially freaked me, but then comforted me.
Numerology is an interest to some and I used to have a huge numbers thing going on. Dates, times etc.
Here's a few examples.
My Mum (r.i.p. Mum) and Dad's first house was number 79. They moved from London to a house, where my Dad still lives, number 79.
My first house when I got married and left home was number 43. We moved, then after my husbands death I had to buy a new house, number 43.
I was born on the 21st of the month, I got married on the 21st of the month.
My Mum (r.i.p. Mum) was born on the 14th of the month. She died on the 24th of the month.
My daughter was born on the 24th of the month.
My son was born on the 14th of the month.

All coincidences ? I think not.
I had stopped noticing the numbers thing, due to my state of depression in the last few years, and getting lower in my hole of darkness. Until I read this post, I had quite forgotten about my number thing.
Made me think !
Sorry , for long post, I had to share.

I don't think it's coincidence. Same thing happened with our clock when my grandfather died.

clock stopping is a common phenomena related to death.

A few nights after my aunt passed we noticed that the light on her plaque was on. However none of us turned it on.

Hasn't happened to me. I guess it's different when your grandfather has Alzheimer's. They probably forgot to stop it.
