My brother is diagnosed with bipolar disorder but he seems to be totaly out from reality. He is continuosly under abnorml condition for more than 20 day still under medication. He shows very strange behaviour like fighting with nobody, sometimes seems like talking with nobody, sometimes he behaves like exorcist? Are these symptoms present in bipolar disorder?

I know someone who is completely normal, no mental disorder no health issues but this person decided to try the slim fast diet. and it messed up her head to the point where she was way out of touch with reality. turns out the slim fast way was throwing her blood counts off, that in turn made her exhibit abnormal behavior, abnormal thinking patterns....

what Im saying is yes anyone can for any number or reasons mental disordered or not end up having times when they are out of touch with reality.

As for are the symptoms you discribe present in bipolar....for some people it is and for others it isnt...

the best thing I can tell you is dont try to label this persons symptoms as bipolar or not.. if you do and it turns out to not be one of this persons bipolar symptoms then you end up doing more harm then good. the same with if you try and label this not one of his symptoms and it turns out it is, you can do more harm then good...

the best thing to do is just accept this person for how ever they are and who ever they are, treat and respond to him as your brother, not as someone trying to self diagnose your brothers problems...leave the diagnosing up to your brothers treatment providers.

if you feel this is a problem you can talk with your brother, he will tell you whether this is a bipolar symptom or not for him, or you can suggest to him discussing the problem with his treatment providers.
Thanks for this!

They can be. Are you able to talk to his doctor to tell the doc what is happening?
