as most everyone knows, my financial state has not been healthy lately. i had to quit working due to my breast pain, i moved and i haven't found a job here yet and with the help of dear friends, i'm getting by. and yes, my menus have been a bit strange lately, but it fills me up and i can get by on that. and i did go to the grocery store today because two fairies dropped a gift in my mailbox.....

so, i'm unloading stuff and am tired and hurting and sweaty and smelly and i find a small box that says "roseville teapot"....i almost fainted. i bought that teapot in Toronto about 30 years ago and haven't seen it in years.......

HOW did it get to Texas? (there is also a "cookie" plate and a sugar and creamer.....so, i started searching madly through boxes. only the teapot have i found.)

i opened up the box and there is was. just beautiful and in perfect shape. i raced to the computer and looked it up......the pattern is "snowberry".

my friend, robert, came down from Austin and he told me that sometimes things appear when you need them the most. and he swore to me that he had not seen that box either when we loaded up and brought my things down here.

i called my daughters and they both are insisting that the rest of the set is at the house on the ranch. i am not believing this.

i knew that i had some "collectibles" but i truly thought that when i got divorced that the roseville did not make it out of the house with me. the ex had been insistent that he wanted it....... and at the time of the divorce, i never spoke up for myself regarding anything at all.....nada. nothing.....

i'm just sitting here looking at the teapot. grinning and thinking about the rest of the set.....

after much searching, i found an identical set, on the web, in a different color!!!! oh joy, oh rapture!!!!! $$$ xoxox pat

its good when things like this show up. its a message for you pat. at a time wen u really need help, it shows up. i take it you are going to sell it, again, wen u desperately need it financially, it shows up. its wonderful when things like this happen, im happy for you pat. we really can have sour cream cookies and tea now hehe

Strange things happen sometimes. Can I tell you a story?

Once when I lived in Florida, I was 10 months pregnant!!! My landlord came by and got upset that the yard was full of weeds--- we were to be put out if it wasn't cleaned up by the end of the week. I kid you not-- two days later a man came to my door-- on foot -- and asked if I needed any yard work done-- he'd do it for some lunch and a cool drink. With him, he had a shovel, rake and a cassette carrier that he said he'd found and asked if I'd like to pick out a cassette for myself, of which I picked "Patsy Cline".

He worked all day out in the hot sun, I made him the biggest sandwich and kept refilling his iced tea and by evening my yard was clear of weeds!!!! I insisted on paying him. He then had me write the check out to a woman's name and said he didn't have an account-- so I wrote it to her.

Then he was gone, I looked around when I'd go shopping or to the flea markets or gas stations-- but never saw him again........ though he did leave a shovel that I still use-- 16 years later, and I think of him and how he happened upon my door-- everytime I listen to Patsy Cline sing.. "Walking after Midnight" .

It is amazing how things happen sometimes, isn't it?

Pat, so happy you found it. And by the way Tea Pots mean a lot! I just feel it and can tell you that that means something significant. You will have endless stamana (The chinese tea flows into our higher "Chi" level- it symbolizes) YOu will gain enthusiam, you will have longer times of clarity and thoughtfulness about one certain idea that you could not ponder crisply and now it is going to be very crisp for the rest of your life in the one question for years that you asked Pat.
