If you have some time over the next week to sit down and give this website a try (it does require a good 30+ minutes or more to go through it), please do so and leave feedback about your experiences in this thread. (I have no connection with their site, but we may be interested in doing something with the company if the feedback is positive.)

Thank you!

I think I would really enjoy it if I could get through an assessment. I didn't join, but took two assessments and when just getting to the end in one the page didn't load, and in the second one a box kept coming up telling me to check for each question when I had, and did several more times (changing my selection). It might be my computer or that I have to register?

I would really like to get the assessments and read more! It sounds like something I'd be very interested in regarding life/stress management.

I'm going to try again. Please try out MasteringMyLife.com I really want to find out more after an assessment!

OK. I did it again, but using mozilla and had the same exact stopping point and issues with both assessments (the self assessment and anxiety).

I'll try again in a bit. Please try out MasteringMyLife.com

I just tried the self-assessment. Didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, but I bet it wasn't geared toward people who have had almost a decade of therapy. Please try out MasteringMyLife.com

One question, one comment: Are the guided sessions going to cost money eventually? And you might want to suggest they hire a proofreader. They spelled "commercial" wrong twice on the signup page. Looks really unprofessional.

I experienced an error twice on page 7 of 8 in the Stress Assessment. And I encountered a glitch when doing the Self Assessment, but that was resolved by using the back button and refreshing.

I did like the Self-Assessment analysis though Please try out MasteringMyLife.com

Overall, I think it's a good program. Please try out MasteringMyLife.com I think this assessment is a good start for anyone who is not being treated for mental health issues.

Three major things I would modify with this program are: (1) Assess past/current mental health counseling and current mental health diagnoses. (2) Assess counselor relationship and communication needs. (3) For each identified major area assessed, evaluate any unaddressed issues with counselor; then emphasize these specifics criteria in the recommendation. (If a patient is depressed but is very successfully treated by mental health, the MasterMyLife program shouldn't send too many red flags but instead praise the patient for addressing these serious mental health concerns.***)

I am currently in counseling. The MasteringMyLife recommendation should be tailored in a way that would faciliate more effective communication with my counselor about my functioning.

***Note: It was a little disconcerting seeing all my problems listed in a way that made me feel I was not functioning well, despite my mental health disability . . . and the program was only intended to address SOME of my issues . . . augghh!!!

Very interesting..but the assessment logic just kinda rewords the answers back to you when it gives you the potential solutions..i.e are you having problems at work y/n..assessment evaluation: It seems your having problems at work..well mmmm..wonder how they came up with that answer..smile..

also, is it a bad thing when it pops up and asks if you want to be a beta tester..mmm..makes me wonder Doc John..maybe me just being suspicous..

I think the concept is beneficial..but they need to work on the output being less..well..staged...felt the logic was to automated, like voicemail..if that make sense..yes its a program so your not going to get the warm fuzzies from it..but they could possible word it a little less binary..oh well thats my critic..such as it is....

Same problem on page 7 of 8 of stress assessment telling me to answer all questions on the page, there are only 2 questions, i have tried different answers and used the back button, if I have to choose a answer that doesn’t represent my true feelings so that I can access the last page then the entire assessment is flawed.

Done! On the first three pages somewhere... it addressed two items where I didn't check anything. On another it gave me feedback on feeling "empty" when that item was NOT checked. There is no option for not having a problem in any one area. If physical problems are really to be addressed, perhaps a space for disability coping could be added?

I became confused when it asked for two ppl/relationships where I felt I had a problem... but then later on asked for two relationships I wished to improve.. and they are different than that other two, but I don't see where I can work on all of them..or if they should be 4 different ones. (Said I was confused LOL)

You working too hard? Please try out MasteringMyLife.com

OH it wouldn't let me print ... I had to save it to my computer.

The site worked ok for me. I wasn't agreeable with the outcome but....It really isn't a big deal. It's computer generated for pete's sake.

I found the assessment worked rather well and seemed to be thorough. Sorry about the bugs you folks were experiencing but it was ok for me.

On the whole, it looks like a worthwhile place to visit.

Well, I haven’t really learnt much to be honest. It just seems to throw back the answers we feed it. Or am I missing something Please try out MasteringMyLife.com

Other than that, the prog seemed to work - was just very slow on the last page (before giving the results). Just as i was about to give up, lo and behold, the page finally loaded!

Yes... I had to reread that it said it could take up to 3 minutes to load that last page (as it compiled??) I think it also doesn't begin to "work" until we check back in, say next week? IDK...if someone else read something different, let me know! Please try out MasteringMyLife.com

I took the assessment and all worked well for me, no problems..... I did not learn any thing that I had not already known (I research things a lot & read books) - what I personally needed was some tips and proven ways on how to fix it all, how to fix the weaknesses that cause the issues.

IMO - this site will be great to those that are just starting out trying to learn about why they are having problems or stress.... but for us that already know the WHY we need a little more in depth information.

Likewise, I don't think I learnt anything that I don't already know. There were also a few things I did not agree with but then again, as a poster previously pointed out - it is computer generated.

I did not seem to have any problems with the site.

To be totally honest - about halfway through I became quite bored and didn't even finish reading the assessments.

Oh yes, that's very true. I did feel a bit bored with alll the reading on the side (was even felt at the beginning to be honest). Glad I'm not the only one.

Ditto. The assessment was somewhat interesting, and I could see how it would be beneficial for someone who is trying to figure out if they need therapy or not. But as someone said - it's a bit discouraging to read "you need professional help" over and over in the final summary. It would be nice if you could say "yes, I'm already in therapy" and then it would say "and it's good that you're in therapy for this".

Also, when I tried to work on one of the problems it was completely unhelpful. I mean, it spits out generic "solution" componants that I didn't really find relevant, then it wants me to actually fill in the solution part. I kinda feel like if I knew what action to take, I wouldn't be having the problem!!!!

So, yeah, the initial assesment might be useful for someone considering therapy, or maybe if you had a very specific problem, for which you kinda had some solutions in mind but wasn't sure how to proceed - (whether or not to change jobs for example) it might be better than for a general "I'm bored & lonely".

Plus the whole nature of it is kinda cold. I don't think a computer will ever be able to generate compassion or genuine concern.
