I just wanted to congratulate my sister for being picked as a semi-finalist in a poetry competition. Her poem will be published in a book of poetry. I hope she will consider my suggestion of publishing a book of ALL of her poetry. Also, the winner receives a $1,000. I am very proud of her and thought I would post this because she would be too modest so here is the poem that she submitted for the contest: (one of my favorites)
IF I CARED If I cared I would be there I would tell it like it is I would spare no words to say it I would tell you to forgive. If I cared I would stay there I would be there by your side I would quietly support you I would hold you while you cried. If I cared you would know it I would tell you day and night I would love you, I would show you And I know it would be right. If you cared you would see dear That I couldn't let you know Just how much the fear prevented me from letting my love show. Susan It's a beautiful poem Susan. I'm very happy for you. Love ya, Yokus |

Yes congrats.. susan..

Beautifully written! Thanks for sharing that with us. Susan was very excited when she told me about this. I hope we get to read a lot more of her work.

Congrats Susan..........to a very talented lady. Try not to be afraid of failing, it is okay sometimes.........but I believe you'll win and go on to bigger things.
