Let me state first of all that this is a serious observation, although it might be not be appropriate in this forum. Still it is a psychological issue I don't quite understand and I'm a Psych Major.

I joined ROTC, and since about a month they teach you a lot. You salute Officers, respect the flag, wear your uniform a certain way. It was a total lifestyle change. The reality is that I may be put behind a desk doing tedious work, and it doesn't sound all that great but for some reason I want to make it my career.

I joined because my Dad told me I should, so I did. Going into this I felt nothing towards the flag, and had no realistic idea on how being in the military was like, and how structured it was. Like I said, I want to make it my career now and actually get aroused when thinking of The Flag, America or the branch of service I'm on my way to join. You can't get into this half-assed; when I come to the conclusion that I'm ingesting the virtues and ideologies and propagating them, it feels like they planted something in me, but it's something I like now. Today in class I actually got aroused when thinking of the American Flag.

All due respect, this is truthfull and mean to bring no shame to The Flag or the Military. This is just a psychological observation.

Hello....
I just wanted to reply and to say that we cannot always define that which makes us human or that which may bring out our sexuality.... but what we can do is to define what we are feeling when these events occur, therefore, only you can answer the WHY to this occurrence.

also, I would like to add that i think you should try and judge too whether or not this is becoming a problem in every day life.

If it is just something you like, well it certainly doesnt seem dangerous, or even like any sort of misconduct! Enjoy it I would say unless it bothers you.
