Does anyone know if it is normal to worry about everything?

I feel as if I am worrying too much about things. I have always had a habbit of thinking too much and obsesssing over everything. As a child, people said that I would over-think everything. I have come to a point now where I feel ok for a period of time, but every week or so I get this period of thinking about a problem to the point of breathing faster, not being able to sit still, shaking and feeling as if the whole world is collapsing and I just have to escape. This is usually followed by crying and a period of calming down. Sometimes if I am really scared, I feel like I am not real, like I am in some kind of video game. Mostly, I often worry about feeling lonely or worrying that I am going to die.
Does anyone else ever experience this and is there anyway that I can help it?

I worry about everything too, except mine is daily. My brain spins and spins. It is anxiety issue for me. The only way I can get out of it is to go to sleep, if I can get to sleep. I now take medication to help stop the obssesive thoughts. It sure makes a difference. Also, therapy helps. You might want to check with your doctor.

I think it's probably pretty common among people around here. I worry constantly. Whether it's about stuff that I think might happen, or things that are presently happening, or whatever. My mind is always churning out possibilities of frightening circumstances. It's something I'm addressing for my overall health as it makes everything else so much more pronounced. I tackle it with mindfulness and other things to slow me down and get me out of my head and into my body, like meditation, yoga, exercise.

I worry every day all day long. The thing is i worry about keeping a clean house, laundry, homemaking. I am disabled, because of head injuries in a few accidents, which i think makes me worry about things that may or may not happen. I worry about death of loved ones, i've lost so many friends and relatives so far, you would think i would be used to it, but i'm not.

I also worry daily. What I meant was that I get these panic issues every few weeks. I also get very depressed about things when I worry. It's nice to know that there are others like me. Thanks everyone

Try to meditate. It takes practice but does wonders. Aslo do deep breathing focusing on a place you wish to be ie, beach, ocean. You can do it anywhere anytime and its free ! Of course, exercise is great, if you can.

It has been said----eighty percent of the things we worry about never actually happen !
