when I was in my therapy session last wk I saw an image of jesus on the cross appear on the carpet...it was a tiny image...T said maybe thats how that session had felt to me....has anyone else experienced this sort of thing? the image then turned into a woman with her shirt torn open and carrying an axe...I think I know they weren't real but I was "seeing" them

There can be any number of reasons and explanations for your visions, it just depends on who you ask!!!

I agree with your T, the initial one could be how you felt, that the session was a "lifesaver" or such. Maybe the normal course of thinking, turning good to bad might have caused the second?

I think it depends upon so many factors! What medicines do you take, what your diagnosis is and what they think you might suffer with, the state of your thought processes in general, stuff like that.

I know I had hallucinations from a medicine..and they were all good

You might try posting this in the Schizophrenia message board since a part of being schizophrenic is seeing visions alot of times with religious themes. I personally don't have visions I have DID not schitozphrenia so I can't help you there. But hang in there, there is probably someone on the Schizophrenia message boards that will be able to help you.

My mother had bp & had religous visions. Think it would be good to talk to doc about it.--Suzy
