In case you don't know, earworms are tunes that get stuck in your head and repeat. I get a few different earworms a day-every day. Driving me crazy. If I'm stressed and trying to think about something or focus on what is bothering me, the earworms get worse. I know most people have this occasionally. Anyone suffer from this every day like me?

Learn something new everyday, I didnt know they were earworms either. Happens all the time to me (many times a day). Doesnt bother me too much. I actually enjoy it at night when I am trying to sleep, having something on repeat in my head.

Thanks. I got so frustrated with them a few months ago, I researched it on Google. There are other names for it but I think earworm is the most popular.
It is nice to know I'm not alone in the constant music.

I always have a ton of ear worms, even in my sleep when I'm dreaming. There is music playing in my head in dreams to. I like music better than talking. But I agree it can get annoying, especially if there is like 4 songs playing at the same time, it gets frustrating.

I get them when I am manic and they go away when I am depressed and/or overmedicated.

Yep have them 24/7 and call it my personal jukebox, for me they are triggered by phrases or words, they drive me insane and the only thing that makes them stop is if I actually listen to and sing along with music that I like.

Its not just songs for me, its nursery rhymes and TV ads also, and it's horrible trying to get to sleep with them

Yes, sleep is difficult with music playing in your head. I use to try to sing the tunes enough times to get it out of my head, but it used to drive my roommate nuts and didn't usually help. And mine can be triggered by a word or phrase as well.

Wow, are the earworms in perfect pitch????it would drive me even more crazy if the sounds were out of tune/out of pitch. I could never hold music in my head long enough....think that would have helped me with memorizing my music when I was preforming......that would totally drive me crazy.

When I first read the title I thought of something like real worms crawling around in the ear sort of like when an ant crawled into my ear....hearing it crawl around inside my ear was horrible....finally got it out....& learned NOT to eat food in bed....can't imagine the music sounds 24/7.

I have the strange problem with the fans in my rooms...they make a repetitions sound that can be translated into words.....that came from my music major days when we were learning to write & words not only had sound but rythm.....& I find that standing in my kitchen trying to work when the fan it on with that sound turning into repetitious words does drive me crazy.....so on a small level, I can understand how earworms would not be a good experience to deal with.

In my case yes, Right now I'm back to Katy perry:Roar, I have no idea why as I have just woken up and have no heard any radio, Tv or anything. It's her voice singing perfectly in my head. Not the entire song, just the same couple of lines over and over again. But ... for example ... if DH came down stairs in a minute and said " Did you let the dogs out ? " .... the song would instantly change to " Who let the dogs out "and if my son comes down and says " I had a weird dream last night " it could switch to any number of songs with 'Dream' in it. and it's always the artists singing it and it's always pitch perfect and it drives me nuts ! I always say the med that pulls the plug on my damned jukebox is the right med for me.

The same exact thing happened to me last night, a voice came from my fan, a commanding voice, but I basically ignored it. Told him to go **** himself. And the ear-worms were really out of tune while I laid down in my bed, they were going high pitch to low pitch all wobbly sounding, I thought I was going crazy, but they aren't happening anymore.

My earworms are in perfect pitch, and sung and repeated incessantly. The more stressed I get the worse they become.
