i feel like a stranger to myself, please don't take this any other way but literally. It feels like i've been placed in a strangers body and my view is through their eyes. When i see my reflection i'm staring back at a complete stranger, and that actually scares me. I don't know who i am (literally). Whats the issue here? i've always sorta felt this way but it always looked at it as normal and nothing to think too much of. I had a very unsettling dream recently that spurred my interest though.

Welcome, to PC. It's not too unusual to struggle with not knowing your own identity.

As far as dreams, have you checked out the Sleep Issues and Dream Interpretation Forum?

Im sorry but we can not tell you what the issue is as you put it. if you google your symptoms you will see in general there are literally millions upon millions of things this can be...example it could be normal or it could be hormonal imbalances can cause a person to feel what you have posted as can many other issues too.

my suggestion contact your treatment providers or a treatment provider near you ie a medical doctor, therapist or psychiatrist. they will be able to evaluate and diagnose what the problem is and how best to treat it.

I get that feeling every so often when I'm having a bad day. It scares me, too, but because I compare it to what a spirit would feel like looking at its body. I just tell myself that that is my mind's way of processing how I am feeling and making me literally step out of the situation and view it as an outsider would (therapy 101, much?). I totally understand and hope you feel better
