my friend is a miilionaire, after his wife died of a drug OD left him with 4 young children to raise. The stricken look on his face and his tears made me know that money does not nessarily make anybody happy.

Stuff still sucked. For a long time.
This was a few years ago.

Now, I see providers who are paid by mass health [state-associated health system in the United States]... and I am doing much better, honestly. Health and happiness have just as much to do with personal out look and environment and many other factors as money.

If only Howard Hughes could reply to this thread, how interesting that post would be!

Well as the old saying goes, the only thing money can't buy you is love, but we also need everything else money can buy

Seriously though, I think money can buy you security and a certain amount of happiness.
Indeed. Money will not teach you how to live. But if you know how to live... money sure won't make you unhappy.

Rich people who are unhappy would be equally or more unhappy if they were poor. Money certainly doesn't cause unhappiness.

I love that Healingtimes! LOL, and it's true! Everything can be bought! You can imporve your life in every aspect with money! You can feel and look better, you can even buy people to an extent, like servants, maids, cooks etc., You can buy pleasure, ease, peace of mind, freedom, power, comfort, contentment, control, better health, education, and a better life for your loved ones. If you want you can purchase a better body with weight lose, plastic surgery, hair restoration etc., Travel, leisure, entertainment, medicine, retirement even food, shelter and the basic necessities, all come with a price, and everything is bought with money! Even wars and peace cost! The world revolves around money! The more you have, the better off you are, the less you have, the more you have to struggle and worse you have it! Even like Venushalley well put, "Money certainly doesn't cause unhappiness."
