No, sometimes I wish I felt that way though....I've tried to convince myself I feel that way while I knew something was wrong but didn't want it to be during this period I did lots of drugs...and looking back it was all an attempt to feel better because I felt like crap. I didn't recognize it as 'self medicating' at the time though.

More and more recently, I used to really want to go therapy to help me become more social, and I wanted to get on medication for anxiety. But now I'm starting to feel that I can fix myself and that I don't need medication or therapy.
Thanks for this!

I think that's the sign of when a medication is working...you feel like you don't need it.

I have felt like I don't need my meds but I've seen my friend go off her meds. She fell apart. It's best to stay on them. Talk to your doc before stopping.

Personally I feel that my meds help me so much !! If I forget to take them for a few days I start to remember how horrible I used to feel . As far as therapy goes I find it a waste of time and money , I know it helps so many people so I don't want to put it down .I found when I stopped dwelling on the past and what happened in my childhood and constantly picking at a mental scab I began to feel free and unburdened from resents and pain that happened years ago . Living in the present is hard to do,but when you begin each day living for the day and no longer let the pain of the past haunt your today's it allows you to grow and gives you such an incredible sense of freedom !!

I have felt that way before, and then I went off my anti depressants and was back at the beginning all depressed again.
