I hadn't had a drink for 6 weeks and the other day I went out and stupidly mixed beer with wine. That was friday night and still today I'm having some of the most terrible withdrawls. Severe depression, just want to lie in bed. I'm agitated, pacing up and down talking to myself out loud and having conversations with myself. I'm having violent thoughts ( I won't act on them, I know there just thoughts, but I feel angry and agitated) I got nearly got into a fight on friday when I was drinking. I feel stupid and terrible.

I didn't want to drink and was persuaded into it. I'm never drinking again.

3 days later and I still feel terrible. ugh tell me this nightmare gets better soon.

"This too will pass".

It sounds like a pretty horrible time for you. I hope it will get better for you soon.

Wow, sounds like alcohol should be on your list of things that you have an extreme sensitivity to. Glad you see that and don't plan to drink again.

BTW, the dictionary lists one definition of allergy as:
Quote:
1. a hypersensitivity to a substance that causes the body to react to any contact with that substance.
Maybe it would help to think of it as something that causes you a hypersensitive reaction.

Probably not an appropriate answer for those of us who don't drink. Back in the day when I mixed beer, wine, tequila and on occasion other stuff I discovered tomato juice. The problem is I hat tomato juice, so I purchased the smallest size cans and kept them all over, my desk at work, the car, at home. The tomato juice settled my stomach and Kepler my head. If you are still suffering, you may want to try it.
