Around here, you can apply for a Christmas hamper if you are low income. I just got the message that my hamper was ready and I can pick it up thisafternoon!

They usually contain all the fixins for xmas dinner, as well as breakfast things like bacon, eggs, pancake mix, cake and cookie mixes.. its a real help when your struggling.

Im excited! Its like early xmas!

YAAAAAYYYY!! That's exciting! I got one of those when two of my kids were little. I have NO CLUE who sponsored it or who left it at my front door but I had food for quite a while because there was a huge turkey in it!

It was a lot of fun cooking that big ole turkey, too! The kids would get together, lay on the floor, hold their stomachs and roll around and moan. Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper The first time, it scared me but then they broke up laughing so I knew it was a put on. They said the turkey was taking too long to cook and they were about to die of starvation. Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper

Enjoy your hamper, Hon! And enjoy the thought that someone thought of you enough to get you one! Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper

Well I got my hamper. My cuboards dont look nearly so bare now!

And i got a BIG turkey, young with giblets. I dont have a clue what to do with it but S is a cook so he will know just what to do with it.

They even had someone meet me specially at the food bank even though they arent open so that I could get it today. It was awesome! I am eating an orange for the first time in months.. real fruit, lots of goodies too, chocolates, all the fixins, TONS of veggies, a great variety.

I am so happy. This restores my faith in things.

Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper Yay! S and I got sponsered for a Christmas Hamper to whoever sponsored me, thank you very much. Although they may never read this, I am putting warm thoughts for them out there.

fond memory of the season. glad you're able to celebrate with such abundance. there is good in this world and it helps to be reminded so tangibly.

Thank you everyone.

The chocolates went to the littles. Of course, that was a big hit as they are GONE completely. Three small packages ofhoney roasted peanuts were MY treat and I still have good meals for at least two weeks now.

It takes alot off my shoulders.

I am not christian but i send blessings and good tidings to all who do things like this, and those that wish they could but dont have the means. The thought counts too.
