Hi Everyone
I have been struggling for the last couple of months and have been coping by staying inside....sleeping....watching tv....drinking juice & water. How do I get myself out of this dark place? __________________ Please donate to your local animal humane shelter! Thank-you! |

PILATUS
I know how you feel I just have to force my self to get moving. Some times getting up and showered and ready even though you may not be going anywhere will make you feel better. Maybe do that and go sit outside if the weather is good Plan on doing something out side or in. Do you have any hobbies? When I feel this way I might do my hobby Scrap booking. I also try to go out and I just tell my self I do not want to waste another day. Doing something that is interacting with others meaning example taking a walk, going to the store, library just where there are people or maybe if you like being alone do something alone, but keeping your hands busy helps and it also helps you focus on something else. There's a forum from the threads heres a link Great Ideas Here a lot of people replied to it with what they like to do. Hope you feel better soon and if you need talk at anytime just pm me and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Jlove __________________ |

Oh Pilatus, I'm so sorry you're hurting so much. I have been through what you are going through now. Depression is a physical illness and it needs medical attention just like a broken arm does. I hope you will consider going to your doctor or an emergency room, if need be. I myself was taken to an emergency room where I got the help I needed. Please find the energy to reach out to someone who can help you feel better. You deserve it. We're all behind you.

I wish I really knew the answer to this question...... but the best I can come up with is that you need to find something else to breathe LIFE back into you - that which makes you smile and look forward to tomorrow.
I know what I need, but I cannot seem to obtain it...... to much and to many ppl involved. LoVe, Rhapsody - ((( hugs ))) ...Oh to be a one year old again, to laugh, live and play... without worry and always with a smile. |

Felt crummy today. Spoke kindly though. (for me to moan and get the whole houses attention is usual) Feel grreat I didn't resort to the "Oh poor poor dying me trip one hundred precent." I channeled and ran though my list of significant helpful friends to give me support while I felt bad but I am grateful to the higher power for making me a little stronger with more gumpshin, not much gumpshin but I am looking back and saw a good thing while I was suffering and going though difficulties. Thank you all for being here to listen and care with me on topics that seem interesting . Hugs -Razeljenny- robin

I can totally understand the isolating. I hope you find what works for you soon. If you have not done so you may call your doc and see if there is something you can take to help you feel better. Take care.

Oh Pilatus, I have been where you are at so many times. It is a lonely place to be.
I would lock my doors, close the curtains and turn off the phone. I didn't want to see anyone or talk to anyone. I would either stay in bed all covered up or sit in the living room staring at the tv. While I mean staring, I couldn't even concentrate on the programs to watch them. It eats you up inside. I found the longer I was this way, the longer and harder it was for me to come out of it. My eyes were always swollen from all the tears. It was like spiraling down into a deep dark hole that you could never see the bottom of. I would always get to the point of wanting to end it all. I would be so tired of all the hurt and pain. I have even sat and thought about the best way to "end" it. What would be best for the family when they found me. What would be the easiet for them. Luckily, I was taken in and my doc diagnosed me with severe depression and anxiety. He put me on two different anti-depressants, but that was after trying several of them as some didn't work. I now have a new lease on life. At least, for now. I don't know if after awhile, the meds stop working or not. I sure hope not. I do hope you will go to your doc and be honest with your feelings to him. This all could be over if you give it a try. I know you don't want the pain anymore. I know you want the hurt to go away. I wish this for you. My wish is that you will start feeling life again. Wanting life again. Good luck to you and if you ever need to talk, I am here. I have been there, and sometimes you have to start out getting better one step at a time. You've been given wonderful advice and I know I can't add more, but if you can just make the effort to get showered and dressed, it's a wonderful start. If you can do that, then maybe the next day you can walk to the corner or around your house and then gently increase your activity level. Small steps are still huge victories.
