i couldn't think of a better title.
but i'm wondering if anyone has hadd this problem where they are writing something and then stopping to think, is that an actual real thing i just said? i get it a lot- it happened just now, i was asking someone who wrote the novel pride and prejudice, i stopped and started thinking... what?. pride and prejudice?. is that even real? and i've had it with lots of other things too like titles of songs, people's names, even full on stuff i'm writing like i might write something as simple as... the ocean is blue then stop and think... does that actually make sense? and i'll have to look it up but it's mainly with things- like i was saying just now with pride and prejudice, and other things anyone else |

one example used in schools to show how a normal brain works is having the students say the word ....banana... many times times. then suddenly one of the students will ask why doesnt that sound like a word any more. this also happens with people who are on drugs, alcohol or medications...during a christmas party i had the pleasure of talking with a friend that was under the influence of alcohol. she was trying to say the word gifts but she said and thought it so much that she suddenly looked confused and asked is that even a word? lol some normal phases of life can also have this same symptom of confusion. my mother had word association /concept association problems with her menopausal problems. children love singing songs where the words end up not making any sense and seem unreal to them. my point is there are many different reasons a person can have word association/conceptual association problems. on a normal level it happens to everyone at some point. so you are not alone.
